Access the Library Collection
Woodridge Public Library currently offers curbside pickup for patrons. Library cardholders can reserve books by using the hold system on the website. You can also call the library to request holds. On arrival, park in one of the library’s curbside pickup spots. There, a librarian will place the books in the trunk of your car. The curbside pickup hours are Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Woodridge Library also offers several ebooks and audiobooks. It utilizes services such as Hoopla, eRead Illinois, and Media on Demand, which provide large collections of ebooks and audiobooks for cardholders to check out. For younger readers, it offers ebooks through BookFlix and the TumbleBook Library.
Even though the building is closed, Woodridge Library is still offering a variety of virtual events for readers of all ages. Its event calendar shows many upcoming events, from virtual writing workshops to book discussions. The library also offers regular virtual read-aloud storytimes for children of all ages. Its summer reading programs for teens and adults are especially popular.
Woodridge Public Library also offers free resources for cardholders to develop various skills. For example, you can get a free membership to Lynda, a site that offers courses in various disciplines such as art, web development, 3D & animation, and business. You can also get a free membership to language-learning websites like Mango Languages, which offers courses in everything from French to Farsi.
